Private Yoga Lessons are the very best way to deepen your practice with guidance that supports you in exactly the ways you need!

I love teaching private lessons and seeing the progress and change each client is able to create in collaboration with their body, mind, and breath.

A healthy, balanced yoga practice will be different every single day of your life - because every day is different!

From meditation and relaxation to flexibility and strength training, we can work together to bring you ease and balance.

Do you want to be able to curl up with a good book without a crick in your neck?

Are you recovering from injury, illness, or surgery, and want one-on-one instruction from someone whose passion and training is in safe and healthy movement?

Do you want to lift and carry bags of potting soil in the garden?

Have you recently “graduated” from a Physical Therapy program, but maybe you’re not yet feeling up to your usual activities?

Do you want to hike up a mountain and sit on the ground for lunch when you get there?

Private yoga can support your performance in all of your passions!

  • Client #1 has been taking private lessons for three years. During this time we have worked with weakness and imbalance from past injuries and surgeries, as well as learning the best modifications for yoga asana that previously were inaccessible. Over the years, there has been a great deal of overall improvement due to client’s dedication to their practice and continued efforts towards health and activity. This client now reports feeling strong, vital, and much more balanced between right and left sides. Our weekly sessions deepen their practice, build strength, and rise to meet the challenges that arise through their active lifestyle.

Landmarks: Groundedness, peace of mind, rebuilding stone wall with no adverse effects. Client enjoys their ability to kayak, bicycle, garden, and use a stand-up paddle board, while also providing part-time childcare for their granddaughter.

    Their words:

“I truly think that what you/we did was just about perfect, I thought you listened to what I said and very much understood, you created a logical starting point and with more listening moved along with a good progression based on how I was feeling. I also thought that your program fit nicely with what I then did with hospital cardiac pt, theirs was very structured and ours more what we thought was good in the moment. y I think your teaching made a very large difference in my recovery and I thank you for that!”

  • Client #2 used private lessons to assist in rehabilitation after open-heart surgery, after previously attending my group classes two to three times per week. During their recovery, we met twice per week and started with ten or fifteen minutes of gentle activity and breath-work per session. We worked our way up incrementally as their strength and flexibility improved. I recommended hands-on PT to supplement while we were meeting over Zoom because of distance, as well as cardiac PT to improve cardiovascular stamina. After six months, client was well enough to travel and return to group classes.

Landmarks: Regaining strength and stamina, returning to work as needed, improved positional awareness and posture during repetitive activities, full return to group classes and international travel, including hiking!
